Twin Ports area teachers, students and parents connect with Gab, Give n Grab private Facebook group.

I am inviting you to a new community Facebook group in the Twin Ports area which was created exclusively to connect teachers with students and parents; and anyone in the community who would like to help and be involved. 

It is a private group so members have to be invited by another member; you can say that Ter Scott invited you.

This site connects teachers and students with people in the community offering resources for free or for minimal fee.

On this page, teachers and students post needs, and community members respond. The type of posts you may see from teachers and students might be “Teacher needs clothing scraps to create quilt for class project”; “Mom teaching from home needs science books for third grader”; “College student looking for used computer, free or at minimal cost”.

Community members post offerings appropriate for educators, students and parents of students. The type of posts you’ll see from the community might be “Free reams of typing paper, Duluth”; “Guitar lessons, $30 hour, Cloquet”; “Student seeking Spanish lessons, Superior”, etc. Always state the item or service with the city location.

Keep it positive. Got news and links to share which could really help. Go for it. 

Want to give? 

Let people know what you have to give, or sell. You can also give inspiration and accolades to students and educators.

Want to grab? 

Let others know what you are looking for. Create a post stating the item or service with your city name.

Example: 

Businesses and individuals offer school supplies free or at minimal cost. When someone is interested in your item, they must PM you. Always meet in a public place to make your exchange; always be safe.

All posts include the city location and item. Communicate with person via PM; do not publish phone numbers or specific locations. Always return to your post to let people know you’ve found what you were looking for or that your item has been taken.

Posts are free, except for business ads. Inquire.
