Tired of Missing your Scheduled Online Webinars? Ter Scott’s 101 Tips for Busy Entrepreneurs Offers one Fix

I have a word document saved as Webinars Do and Delete.

When I get an email with webinar confirmation, I first register and assign it to my calendar and for ease of finding the link, I copy and paste the entire email message in this document. When my calendar shows I have a webinar scheduled, I open the document and click the live link. When the webinar time and date have passed, I highlight the information for it in the Webinars Do and Delete document and delete it. I now have a “clean slate” to add future webinar info.

Many times I would register and schedule an online webinar or Zoom meeting but just prior to logging into the meeting at the date and time; I couldn’t find the link to do so. (I have also found that many times the hosts of these meetings don’t make searching the confirmation of these online events easy by using an identifiable title or topic in the email subject line. Some keywords when doing an email search are “confirmed”, and “welcome”) Many times I could not find the login and if I did I would show up late, and frustrated for having missed part of it. Here’s how I avoid this situation now and you may find that it is helpful for your busy lifestyle.

I have saved on my computer a word (or similar) document titled Webinars Do and Delete. When I register for a webinar I ensure that it is placed on my calendar but then I also go to my email and open the actual confirmation email, copy everything including the link to the webinar and paste it into the word document and save it.

Just prior to the time of the webinar I do a quick search on my computer: Webinars Do and Delete (you probably won’t have to do a search like this unless you have a ton of things on your computer as I do), open the word document and either click the live link (or copying and pasting the link into the browser if that doesn’t work) and voila, I am happily waiting for the webinar to begin.

TIP: I know that when registering for an online event, most hosts will tell you to get in early and listen to the music or “the webinar will begin shortly, please stay on the line” over and over. But how many of us make it a point to get in early? If you are like me, you may ignore this like most people do when the flight attendant goes over instructions for a water landing. I suggest that you do get to your webinar at least 15 minutes early. Some fill up and the virtual door closes when too much bandwidth is achieved. This may not be the case in the future, but from now until eternity, I would show up and just do a few other things at your desk while waiting.

TIP: Register for webinars even if you are not sure that you will be present during the live event as most will offer a replay and will usually email a link shortly after the live version.

How would you like to get all 100 Tips for just a buck when the book is published?

I’m spending quite some time on this so that the finished product will be stellar and well worth the $20 that it will most likely to be priced.

It’s easy, just register and you’ll receive notifications as to how the book is progressing from time. In the meantime, you’ll be notified when I publish an informational blurb about one of the tips like the one you’ve just read. One tip may only reinforce something you already know and perhaps remind you to revisit it and implement into your routine, or it could be a tip that you’ve never thought of before that could literally change how you see things, do things and just maybe change your entire life.

By registering you’ll get these notifications from time to time with tips like this one, just as I said, and (here’s the big deal). You will be notified when the book is to published and you’ll have access to get it for just a buck with no strings attached; well, actually there is one. If you like it, I would love to have you (wait at least a day after you purchase it) to leave a comment on Amazon. I’m sure that you’ll have a pretty good understanding of the book prior to its launch but it’s still good to give it a day or two so Amazon doesn’t think that you just bought the book and are commenting before you read it.

OK, so here’s the link to be sure you are notified ofthese little short blurbs and the book launching. Thank you in advance and I hope you’ll use today’s featured tip. Feel free to comment below. I try to reply to each comment, and I may even address your comment in the actual book.
