Microsoft Publisher is retiring.
If you’ve used Publisher for years, you may have dozens — or hundreds — of .PUB files containing brochures, handouts, newsletters, forms, client materials and other important content.
I know I do.
Microsoft says Microsoft 365 users will lose access to Publisher after October 1, 2026, and recommends converting important Publisher files before then.
Your files won’t disappear, but opening or editing them later could become much harder.
