The Proposed Death Tax may be the Death of your Farm and Small Business unless ...

Friends, most know by now that Ask LLC (All Solutions Known) offers many products, services, and solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. The three main things we offer are Advocacy, Branding, and Cashflow Strategies. Today, I am sharing something very important from our Advocacy service; protecting small businesses from the proposed "Death Tax".

Now Is The Time For The Death Tax Repeal Act To Reduce Small Business Regulatory Burdens

The estate tax, known as the death tax, is triggered when assets are passed on to children or family members. For small business owners, this can mean that once they pass away, their business may be severely impacted or even forced to close.

That’s why NFIB supports the Death Tax Repeal Act, which was introduced last month in the U.S. House and Senate to repeal the federal estate tax. The bills were previously considered in 2019 but didn’t proceed out of committee in either house. Now a new Congress has been seated and advocates against the estate tax are continuing the push for change, and you can help.

NFIB is leading a coalition of 89 stakeholder groups in support of the repeal, and today the coalition sent letters of support for the bill’s introduction to Representatives Jason Smith (R-MO) and Sanford Bishop (D-GA) who introduced the bill in the U.S. House and Senator John Thune (R-SD) who introduced it in the U.S. Senate.

Now more than ever, small business owners (and especially farmers) need to act today. We can no longer afford to stand idle. NFIB has fought for its members for over 77 years and we need to come together against this evil and dangerous threat.

There are things you can do.

1. Share this post, article, or whatever platform you saw this.

2. If you are not an NFIB member, there has never been a better time to join. Contact me today. We can discuss an affordable membership. This is not about the money, this is about more members. Please, don't put this off.

3. Tell us your story. NFIB wants to hear your story – call me and I will email you the link*. Your experience with this regulation can help us educate legislators.

4. Tell your senators and representative. Call me and I will email you the link*.

*You do not have to become a member to get these links but we could sure use more members. With more, we can do more.

If you would like to become a member, you can call me and I will register you over the phone using a credit card or check, and you'll get a receipt immediately via your email during our call.

Or, you can right-click on the invoice form below, copy and paste it into a word document, complete it and mail it with a check. I will process it and you'll also get an emailed receipt as soon as I enter it.

Below are the recommended rates. They are "suggested". If you are able, some farmers who believe in the cause choose $5,000 to $15,000 even though they have less than 100 employees. Others are so strapped that the $395 is difficult; we will work something out with you. It is more important now that we have the members in your area. Members are what make politicians take notice.

The American Families Plan - are you OK with putting 3 and 4 year olds in public school?

The American Families Plan

Welcome back. We'll move forward with the next few paragraphs of the document. Please state your comments, concerns, and questions as related to you being a small business owner and your business industry and anything that may help others who read this; especially pertaining to this section.

Read and comment on Part 1

To grow the middle class, expand the benefits of economic growth to all Americans, and leave the United States more competitive, President Biden’s American Families Plan will:

  • Add at least four years of free education. Investing in education is a down payment on the future of America. As access to high school became more widely available at the turn of the 20th Century, it made us the best-educated and best-prepared nation in the world. But everyone knows that 13 years is not enough today. The American Families Plan will make transformational investments from early childhood to postsecondary education so that all children and young people are able to grow, learn, and gain the skills they need to succeed. It will provide universal, high quality preschool to all three- and four- year-olds. It will provide Americans two years of free community college. It will invest in making college more affordable for low- and middle-income students, including students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and institutions such as Hispanic-serving institutions, Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-serving institutions, and other minority-serving institutions (MSIs). And, it will invest in our teachers as well as our students, improving teacher training and support so that our schools become engines of growth at every level.

So, what are your thoughts? Will this, in your opinion, "... grow the middle class, expand the benefits of economic growth to all Americans, and leave the United States more competitive..."?

It appears that the intent is to lengthen the 12 years of schooling another 4 years and that is the "excuse" or reason to have taxpayers (business owners) pay for college. Is college the answer, or just what will these four extra years be in educating? We could certainly use more people in trades at this time than those with "head" knowledge. (I call this "hand" knowledge and "head" knowledge).

Also, putting 3 and 4-year-olds in "school" takes the child out of daycare which will affect that industry reducing income for them but more importantly, will this give the government more time to "indoctrinate" or "educate"? Please present your thoughts.

Is there anything I missed that you want to discuss?

Thanks for reading this and participating. Please return as we continue bit by bit until we complete this entire document.

See you on the next post.
